Maryland Women and Technology (MDWIT) serves as a regional resource to increase women's participation in technical fields through entrepreneurship development and in the workforce. MDWIT achieves this with a focus both on developing women's technical and leadership skills and by supporting businesses efforts to provide a welcoming environment for their diverse workforce. Ensuring that Maryland's entire community engages its best and brightest minds, including women's, to build, attract and grow business development is a central focus for MDWIT's annual women and technology forum. The forum targets three groups:

  • Women in Entrepreneurship,
  • Women in the Technology Workforce,
  • The Next Generation of Women in Technology.
